Fishing for Heroes

On Saturday 27th April I attended a fishing event at Chatton Fishery in aid of Fishing for Heroes. Thankfully, the sun was shining and I had plenty of snacks to keep me happy for the duration of the competition.

Over 40 Anglers entered into the competition, some were active service men, veterans of conflict and others were there to support the cause.

Upon arrival the group choose their peg number and were subsequently split into two groups fishing on different lakes. The claxon sounded and the fishermen and fisherwomen cast their lines into the lakes.

Within 30 seconds the first fish was caught making me run the whole distance of Chatton Lake to take the very first photo of the first catch of the day!

First catch of the day!

I was the photographer of the day capturing key moments from the day.

Paul Fenech strikes a pose before he starts the competition!

Overall, £3000 was raised from an online auction, raffle and donations from anglers and supporters!
